It’s not every day you get to shoot a Wedding in such wonderful surroundings as Caius College, and Queens’ College, Cambridge. I’d travelled up the previous day to overnight in the equally wondrous Downing College.
The day was thankfully bright, my assistant and I waited at Caius for the grooms party to arrive, we spent an hour enjoying the architecture and sense of history.
David arrived with his six ushers who were a friendly and happy bunch of guys. I waited at the front gate of Caius, for Victoria to arrive with her father who were then joined by Victoria’s six bridesmaids; who all looked great in
dresses designed and made by Victoria along side her own Wedding dress.
The Chapel of Caius is a stunning location for a Wedding ceremony, I was allowed by the vicar to stand close to the service and was able to capture some lovely moments.
After the service everyone came together in the quad for their photos in a truly great setting; Victoria and David then made the short trip to David’s old college Queens’, by the unusual method of rickshaw.
Queens’ is no less stunning a location and we spent some time in Cloister Court taking pictures of the newlyweds before it was time to join their guests for the Wedding breakfast in the great hall.
All in all a very memorable day in stunning Cambridge
